Buttermilk Biscuits

 1 ¾ cups flour
 ½ tsp salt
 2 tsp baking powder
 1 tsp sugar
 ½ tsp baking soda
 5 tbsp butter
 ¾ cup buttermilk

Mix dry ingredients together. Cut butter into dry ingredients.

Add buttermilk and stir as little as necessary.

Knead gently for half a minute then roll out to a thickness of 1/4 inch. Cut with a biscuit cutter.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes at 450 degrees F.
